Overview
Piping is essential to the expansion and productivities of our industries, especially in maritime, oil and gas Industries, fabrication, etc. Piping is become one of the principal means of fabricating and assembly. In order to achieve the quality of piping inspection, piping inspector is required to ensure that the Man Power, Material, Machineries, Methods & Management (5M) of piping during fabrication & service are met the code/rule/standard used. This course is designed for piping inspector candidates with the knowledge, skills and attitude of effectively piping inspection. This course also designed for personnel who prepare API 570 Examination.
Objective
Upon successful completion of this training, the participants will be able to conduct inspection during fabrication and maintenance / installation especially on pipes and accesories object.
Who Should Attend?
All welding inspector personnel who responsibilities are in making decision, exercising of judgment concerning piping inspection in the following ship building / ship repair and construction, oil and gas, offshore fabrication, boiler, services and maintenance and other industrial requirements.
Minimum Entry Requirement
- Any of the Candidates of IKBAL-M-Yos Alumi who have and holding Certified Welding Inspector (CWII) and Competency Certified Welding Inspector by BNSP with 1 (one) year experience,or
- Academic background (D-III) minimum or Bachelor degree in technique or Holding Welding Inspector Certificate with 1(one) year experience that must be satisfactory passed the BNSP Welding Inspector Competency Certification.

Instrument inspector training module consists of 5 modules, as follows:
MODULE I – QSHE Awareness with Our God Voice
MODULE II – Material, Welding and NDT Defectology
MODULE III – Piping Inspector Modules, as follows :
- API 570, Inspection, Repair, Alteration, and Rerating of In-Service Piping Systems.
- API 571, Damage Mechanism Affecting Fixed equipment in the Refining Industry
- API 574, Inspection Practices for Piping System Components
- API 577, Welding Inspection and Metallurgy
- API 578, Material Verification Program for New and Existing Alloy Piping Systems.
- Refreshing ASME V , Nondestructive Examination, 1,2,6,7 and 23
- Refreshing ASME IX, Qualification Standard for Welding, Brazing and Fusion Procedures.
- ASME B31.3, Process Piping
- ASME B16.5, Pipe Flanges and Flanged Fitting
- Related Indonesian Statutory Requirement for Piping Inspection.

Certificates
Upon completion and pass examinations, the participant will be awarded Piping Inspector Certificate Certified by MIGAS, APITINDO and DISNAKER Batam.
